Since its launch the competition has not failed to disappoint. The MTB attracts intrepid nature-loving mountain bikers to discover Mauritius in an unusual way along awe-inspiring tracks. It’s a unique stage race for the adventurous as it crosses rarely accessed areas on the island.
It offers an unparalleled opportunity to combine a 5-star stay at Shandrani Beachcomber Resort & Spa with a thrilling cycling experience. Discover mountains, forests, sugar cane and tea plantations plus the clifftops of Mauritius from your saddle.
Consisting of four stages - 70 km, 40 km, 30 km and 60 km, plus a kids’ race - the event attracts participants from all over the world, including South Africa, United States, Reunion and Mauritius. The fourth edition, held in April 2019, was a great success and brought together 100 participants.
